Jan joined Peacock Vets in December 2022. She has a wealth of experience both as a clinical vet and as a pathologist. She loves horses as well as pets and she is a fantastic member of our independent vet team.

Q. What is your favourite animal?

A. Elephants

Q. Do you have pets at home?

A. I have a 13 year old Border Terrier and 2 year old Border Collie. As well as 2 horses

Q. What is the most extraordinary animal you have worked with?

A. I spent an amazing 2 weeks as a volunteer at an elephant sanctuary in Thailand helping to care for them. This included treating an elephant with a bad eye, another with colic and one with a broken leg

Q. What do you love most about working at a vets?

A. I most enjoy investigating interesting cases and reaching a diagnosis that means I can treat the animal and make it better

Fabulous service, Iris and her team are lovely. Very caring and welcoming. Our dog Teddy is quite nervous when visiting the vets but they go above and beyond to make the experience a good one. Would highly recommend.

Really great team, been fantastic with our pup. They actively encourage 'happy visits' in order to get your dog to have positive association with going to the vet which really helps when our little dude isn't much of a fan of needles.
